Annual Train Ride

On Labor Day we took the children to Heber and rode the train. It is gorgeous in Heber in September and the children LOVE riding the train. I hope that we can do it every year because it is such a great tradition. We got "Held up" by some cowboys and they thought that Isla was so cute they gave her a chocolate coin. I think that Ethan thought it was real!!!!! Very fun! I posted pics below of last year! Look at how little Isla is! Can you believe that a year has already passed?

Childrens Gardens

What a great summer!

Earlier this month I took Ethan and Isla to the Childrens Gardens @ Thanksgiving Point. Ethan loves this humongous spider web and we spent most of our day there. I also bought Ethan an Apple Beer. He thought he was soooooo cool!

Vernal

This past weekend we went to Vernal to visit my sister and brother. It was so much fun! We stayed at the hotel Stan works at and visited the Dinosaur Momument and museum. While we were the the National Monument Ethan completed some activities and became a Junior Park Ranger. He recited an oath and received a badge and certificate. He has been wearing his badge for two days and tell everyone about it!

Farm Country

Last Tuesday we went to Farm Country. We met my friend Trisha and her children. It was fun and the kids had a great time. Isla really likes ducks, pigs, and horses.

Ghostbusters Birthday

 Ethan's science kit! He wants to be a Scientist when he grows up!

Ethan has been obsessed with all things ghostbusters this summer so naturally he wanted to have a ghostbusters birthday party. Not easy. They haven't made ghostbusters products for thirty years! I found his proton pack on Ebay for 50 bucks. It was made in 1984. Aaron almost died when he found out how much I had paid for it!
Aaron and I decorated the cake. It was really fun. Aaron free handed the design and we took turns filling it in.
Later today Ethan and I were playing with my wigs. I love wigs and every Halloween I get a new one! We took some really funny pictures!

Tomatoes

My tomato garden has had a tough start this summer. Apparently tomatoes need water. Who knew? I have had my eye on the sole pink/red tomato for almost a week. The first tomato of the season is the best one! Second only to the last one.
 I opened the back door this morning, got my coffee, and there was Isla sitting in the middle of the garden chomping on my red tomato. Shock! Apparently I wasn't the only one looking forward to it ripening!  At least it looks like she enjoyed it!
Ethan is turning into a little boy more and more each day. He likes his privacy and doesn't like Isla bugging his stuff. He is very secretive! I assume it will only get worse.
